I only bought a foreign leather jacket. What do I obligation to do to protect it?

I.e. should I apply a leather protectant to it, etc? Thanks for your help!

Answers:    Right very soon the leather should be soft and supple, therefore you don't call for products that replace oils all the same. Water is one of the worst enemies of leather, it dries it out, so I'd recommend treating your jacket next to a product made specifically for repelling water, such as Leather Therapy Water Repellent or Leather Therapy Finish.

Talk to a leather specialist at a specialty cleaner for leather and suede for this suggestion. I always bring my leather and questions to such places.
