Glass and Newspaper?

Can someone tell me the methodical reason why rag cleans glass so totally well?

I've long given up on Windex etc. Now I a moment ago wipe the inside of my windscreen with damp newspper and polish it with dry weekly. Each and every time it removes all of the crud and leaves a streak free finish.

Why is this so??????????????

Answers:    Newspaper is lint-free, the printer's ink contains volatile solvents.
I would come up with it has to do near the fibrous nature of newsprint. It soak up oil and does not fall apart to streak the cup.
