What is "masslin"? A thoughtful of yard goods? Made of what?
Answers: HI. I've hear of masslin dusting towels. They're supposed to be super absorbent. They're liberal of like serious newspaper towels but better and they don't leave a bunch of lint astern.
You mean muslin? We use it on movie sets to bounce buoyant from the sun to the actors.
Muslin is most typically a closely-woven unbleached or white cloth, produced from corded cotton line. Wide muslin is called "sheeting". It is habitually used to make dresses or curtains but may also be used to complement foam for bench lagging. Muslin breathes well, and is a worthy choice of material for clothing expected for hot, dry climates.
I wouldn't think it would be a polite towel material. I know deeply of people use this on the vertebrae of home made quilts....:)
Muslin is also used for many things besides movies. From straining berries to cause jelly to making patterns for garments.
Muslin is a woven stuff made from cotton. There are several grades from very unscrew weave to tightly woven.
The only muslin towels I'm aware of pertain to kitchen drying towels. Generally lint free and relatively inexpensive.
