Acquirred some vintage bottles at an estate sale. How do you clean the insides of them?
Answers:
crushed ice and a lot of salt. then shake the bottle keeping your thumb over the top. the salt will be the scraper inside the bottle and the ice creates the pressure on the salt.

Fill with water, drop as much of the tablet in as will fit through the bottle hole, leave to bubble...rinse and repeat as needed.
you might try baking soda and hot water, soak for a while, shake. Might have to do several times. I've also heard of people adding a little peroxide to the mix.
Soak them on a solution of sugar soap
dishwasher
or soak them in a little warm soapy water
Vinegar and salt mix in boiling water - or try a limescale remover.
If there are water spots from hard water, soak them with lime-away or CLR.

soak them in a soulition of amonia or amex and water but be sure to have your windows open as the fumes are very strong
Use vinegar, let them soak (heat up the vinegar, or add a touch of hot water to REALLY pack a punch), it will remove a LOT and leave the bottles sparkling, no residue. You don't need any bottle brush to wash them, just soak them for a few hours and then rinse and airdry.
I collect old bottles and the best way I found is to pre-soak with hot but not boiling water until the water has cooled down. Drain the water out and use 50/50 vinegar and water and put a handful of rice in. Cover the opening and shake, shake, shake! The rice acts as an abrasive. Depending on how dirty the inside is, you might have to repeat. Good luck.
