How can I convince my wife to lend a hand me save the house verbs?

My wife is very messy, and she grew up near parents who didn't place any importance on cleanliness, whereas I am the contrary. The floors don't get cleaned unless I do it, the kitchen is a bomb-site unless I verbs and tidy it, the bathroom is covered in down, dust, scum, etc unless I verbs it. I have to put together her feel guilty previously she'll help. As soon as she enter the house, she just dumps anything she's carrying on the floor or bed, and there it stays until she requests it again, which could be days or weeks. Because of this she is constantly 'losing' things like key, phone, purse, etc. She is an artist and teacher, and in attendance are art and teaching materials everywhere. Once every couple of months she'll finally awareness that I've given up being the housemaid and will engineer some effort, but it's starting to put to death me.
How can I ask her without it seeming similar to I'm constantly 'having a shift at her' or nagging her? This only get her back up and she storms rotten in a mood.
