How to make house work less boring?

I find it difficult to make up my mind to do house work. Once i start it's not so bad, but when I think of doing it, it seems so boring and I procrastinate. Any ideas?

Answers:
music, music, music...and again, I say music. I find that when I turn on some music I can really get caught up in housecleaning. Also, I've found that sometimes instead of just working in 1 area I'll go back & forth & it's keeps me from getting so bored so fast. Like I'll start in the living room & work for awhile than move to the bedroom & work for awhile, going back-n-forth, otherwise I tend to get bored real fast with housework.

I always crank up my favorite music station, (a hard rock station, in my case). It keeps me moving and motivated.

Some tunes on the radio might help, but if you think someone important may drop in unexpectedly, and you wouldn't want your housekeeping bad habit to show, keep it up every day, at least the middle. The corners, behind the sofa, inside the closets you can save for later when you get angry at someone. When my feelings are hurt, I clean!
but now, everything is different for me so in my tiny space, I can
keep it up.
You can listen to music. It will make you will better. And when you heard the song that you know how to sing it, just sing-a-long. This way can make you feel proud of yourself.
Good luck making it fun!! : 0 But it helps me if I make a schedule for each day ( I straighten up every day ) of things that need to be done. Monday is cleaning the kitchen and pantry, and my son's laundry. Tuesday is bathrooms, daughter's laundry...and so on. Splitting it up makes it easier to deal with and not procrastinate. I like to have music on- it helps me focus.
I always listen to music and start with a room that very messy and I sing with songs and it makes it go faster....
Put on a CD or tape, and tell yourself you will clean only as long as the CD lasts and no more. It's a mind thing, but works for me.
Play music. I used to be the world's worst, so I can sympathsize!
Take a shot of tequilia for every room that you clean/chore that you do. Will motivate you to not only clean, but clean quickly
Play music. Sing along and dance while you're doing it. It goes by so much faster and actually makes it somewhat pleasurable. Just think, the sooner you get to it, the sooner you have a clean house and are done with it. I must have a clean kitchen and bathroom so I start in one of those and the rest just follows.
