What temperature setting should I use when washing a goose down pillow.?

Answers:
As a dry cleaning consultant i must warn you never dry clean pillows or duvets whatever the care label says. There is an anaesthetic in Perklone the most widely used solvent that could prove fatal if any were left in bedding. Always use a wet clean process on pillows and duvets tumble dry with a couple of tennis balls to break up the clumps of wet feathers and aid drying. They will take some time to dry and stink if they are left damp. Temp 0f 40c is fine low mechanical action if poss.

Wash it by hand in lukewarm water. If you machine wash it you'll get a brick.

washing doesn't matter ,but cold water is best so you don't set any drool stains, and low heat,...fluff to dry.I am a taxidermist.
you don't. have it professionally cleaned.
dry cleaning is probably best, but if you wash it, put it in a front loader, if possible, and when you put it in the dryer, put either tennis balls, or a pair of tennis shoes in with it to fluff it
Don't wash it......have it cleaned and then air it thoroughly before you use it again, outside if possible, to disperse any lingering solvent vapours.
If there is a label on the comforter see if it has laundry instructions. If the comforter is 100 % cotton wash in cold water. To dry put in a couple of tennis balls or a clean pair of sneakers, they help fluff up the down.
