Any advice?

First, get the animals a bath at the vets where they can also be dipped for fleas and get treatment to prevent the return of fleas and ticks.
While animals are at the vets, have the carpet, and cloth furniture cleaned with solvents that remove pet odors.
After the floor and furniture is dry, cover them with a drop cloth and paint the walls and ceiling. Color? I see you already know the gender of your child. Any color but pink. I know it is a girl's color but it is also the color for weakness. Do you know anyone or are you talented to paint a mural on the wall? A mural can have many colors! Oh! Not too bright colors as it could keep him up at night!
Wipe every surface down to eliminate the smoke build up. No smoking before breast feeding. What you consume before breast feeding, he will taste!
Keep animals, especially the cat out of baby's room when baby is sleeping. You know to watch when pooch is around the baby. Pooch was there before baby and might want to show who is first in this "pack" family!
Congratulations and good luck!

Nature's Miracle will help with dog and cat urine smell. You can probably find products near them in the pet store for dealing with general pet smell in the air, etc.
There is a product called KILLZ that you can use to primer the room which should help get rid of the cigarette smells as well as anything else embedded in the walls.
For paint his room... pick a color from his nursery theme or bright primary colors (but don't go crazy and overstimulate him). And you shouldn't do the painting (due to paint fumes) have some friends/family help.
use febreeze, perfume anything you can! if its a boy baby blue if its a girl light pink, you can use light orange use light tones.lol hope this helps
why paint the room? its only a waste of money..if u wanna clean your house of any animal smell, you should get rid of the animal...or it'll keep making a smell........
to clean the house of oders use febreze that is what i use and if it is a girl paint it pink with yellow flowers. If it is a boy paint it blue with air planes or cars.
