I was thinking in the order of antiquing my dining room table, its got the originally stain that it have on it from the factory. I wanted to do it surrounded by like a cream white, one my dining room is all americian what do i do to do this antiquing, and is it recommanded to paint a dining room table that used for adjectives meals, (with 2 youthful boys) Does anyone have planning, I am going crazy looking online for how to do it yourself, all it shows you at hand is how to stain it, I want to paint and give it an antique look
Answers: Paint it white, sand it insubstantially on the edges and high points near a medium grit sand serious newspaper. Then go wager on with a see stain (you can mix with for a moment glaze to hang on to it from drying faster than you can work) and paint over all the surfaces and cracks. Wipe rotten. The stain will stay in the creases and the areas that you sand the white paint off.
Try looking up Debbie Travis' the painted house show. She does it adjectives the time and it looks great!
kathy h's recommendation is sound, just receive sure to topcoat with a polyurethane to protect it.
