We are painting a wall that has a door in the middle. Paint the door and trim white or the wall color?
Answers:
Most definitely white! And I recommend at least a semi-gloss paint too. It will really make the crown molding and trim stand out, since it should be an asset to you room.

paint the door and trim white
paint the door and trim white
You definitely need to pain the door and trim white! I think a brown door & trim would look gross. (unless it was stained wood---that looks nice in any room.)
I would say definitely white! I agree with the Semi Gloss too, it gives it a really classy sheen. If you just paint it the wall color, the molding will just blend right in. Good luck!
black
The door and trim in white same as molding clean look.
Most definately white or wood color. I painted a door and trim once because I couldn't decide and it looked ridiculous!
keep door and trim white....if you paint it brown, it will look very strange. I have a red room, and I kept my trim, and doors white. It looks awesome...its a great contrast!
