Water stains on coffee table? How do I keep hold of the color so that it match the rest of the furniture?
my lovely coffee table surrounded by dark wood (real wood, from world market) have gotten several water stains over the years.
My husband is concerned that if we sand it and stain it , we can't achieve the color to match the rest of the living room furniture.
Is this true? What's the best style to do that? How do I choose a staining that is very to the color already? Do I need to clear out my in one piece living room if I am to sand the table? Any recommendations for brands of tarnish and stains (have no clue what's the difference)? How long should I allow for this project?
Thank you adjectives in credit!
Answers: Re-finishing a large table can be a vastly long project. It is also not really for those with no experience. Can you a moment ago cover the marks next to some ornamental coasters?
I enjoy gotten water stains out of wood by applying white toothpaste to the stain and rubbed near the grain of the wood.
Another means of access of refreshing the finish is 0000 steel wool with a short time bit of varnish ...again going with the particle of the wood....you will be taking off a bit of the finish but it will stir it up. Test these in inconspicuous areas formerly doing the whole table.
