Where do I get a 40in wide 80in tall door for under $200?

For that size the cheapest is ( with guaranteed results) to contact a mill work,a com. that deals in trim; windows and doors.Most of the time however they do not deal to the open public,but it is worth a shot.Good Luck

I seriously doubt it. That is a custom size...normal doors for exterior are 28", 30", 32", 36", 42", and 48". The height is standard, at 6'8" (80").

Depends where you are. In CT, in South Windham, at the corner of Rt 32, and Rt 203 is a place that auctions off leftover doors, windows, and so on. I don't have the name on the tip of my tongue. There are probably similar outlets in your area. Check the Yellow pages under windows and doors.
Basicly, you are looking for a place that sells construction overages.

there may be a habitat for humanity reuse store near you that sells used construction materials or try to find a building material salvage store....they are a treasure trove....maybe they will have an old sliding door that you can retrofit
