What sort of flooring is best advisable for a bath room in order to avoid a serious fall ?

I have my parents who are very old staying with me..
Different people suggest different ideas...
I am totally confused..

Answers:
First of all if you have your old parents staying with you , I would advice you to have a housemaid who could look after them.

Secondly I would suggest you should have a rough flooring. please take advice from a hardware who supplies tiles.

Are they staying long term that your going to remodel. Why not get a bathroom rug. you can get wall to wall and they wont slip.
My bathroom is carpeted with only a little ceramic tile in front of the shower and just around the toilet. I haven't fallen yet.
Natural stone unpolished would be good or carpet, or there are non slip ceramics available from tile suppliers (not HD or Lowe's)
First think of making your bathroom dry by taking bath preferably in a tub covered by a pvc curtain.u can use less polished stone around the tub so once u get out of the tub there is no water onto your feet and there is less chance of a fall.U can reduce your cleaning of bath room tiles to a greater extent.Cleaning of tub is much easier than cleaning of all bath room tiles.
anti-skid tiles in the bathroom is quit fine also see that the water drains out fast
