I need some curtain/drapery ideas for my picture window. I have visited all the websites that I could think of and nothing stands out. Does anyone have any ideas how to dress up (but not too much) my large window? Thanks!
Answers:
One of the nicest treatments I ever did was layering blinds, colored sheers and lace panels. The filtered light was spectacular and it afforded all the privacy I needed. I used alabaster blinds, peach colored sheers and off white lace panels. I had eight windows to dress in an old farm house and this solution was elegant and very affordable.

A swag and/or a valance look nice without blocking the view.
Damn you're ugly
A swag is a nice idea- if you want light and privacy, try a sheer under it- softens the light, too. This could make for a nice simple look- very classy
I like window clings- they make most anything festive!
