Good book on the basics of furniture arrangement?

I just bought a CD that arranges rooms in 3-D, nd you are actually able to "virtually walk" through them. The CD allows you to shape the rooms to your exact needs. I bought it at Staples yesterday. "Custom 3D Home" ...10 dollars.

Here is a tip, I saw in an HGTV show once, that may help you out.
Divide the room, at least in our mind, into several square shaped areas. Set one up for TV viewing, one for conversation areas, these can easily be adjoining.
Just think of what you want the room to be for your needs.
Make a small scale drawing of your room, and play around with various combinations.
You may be surprised at what you can come up with.

a suggestion that I have is don't be afraid to move furniture away from the walls. some people think that all furniture has to remain at the perimeter of the room. that's not the case at all. you can make some great spaces in your condo by defining them with furniture. be innovative, but practical. go for it!
