Goo-Gone. Let is soak for 10-20 minutes and wipe stale with composition towels.
If you have not however pulled it up, heat it beside a hair dryer and it will come stale a lot cleaner. The boil plasticizes the adhesive.
If you don't hold any of the above mentioned items, try using fabric softener. Delute it near some water and agree to it soak on the tape for a few minutes and after use an old terry cloth bath cloth to rub and remove it. Good luck.
