Have you ever seen a Home Interiors catalog (www.homeinteriors.com)? I think you can find something there that is girly. Or you can always go to target. Flowers and dots are big this year. Also, you can turn your hobbies into a theme.
Butterflies, flowers, pink pink pink! Soft fuzzy bedspreads & pillows. Not so sure about Barbie at that age.
Stay away from cartoon figures or the latest doll craze as you will have to change it again very soon. Go with lavender's and pinks and other pastel colors, butterflies and flowers. Basic things that a girly girl likes. Furry pillows and fluffy rugs, etc.
Eleven is the age before "Everything Changes"! At this time I would suggest introducing a theme through the curtains and/or bedspread. In two years, (the age of the peer group) her tastes will change. "Cool" will be what her friends like. By that time it will be time to replace the fabrics. I would postpone introducing theme items that involve wallpaper or borders for a couple of years. (you don't want to re-paint or strip wallpaper every two years!) Girly girls can vary from traditional to modern in taste. Flowers are timeless. If you need to paint the walls now, lavender is a good choice as it will appeal to the young girl and also work with many teen themes. Good Luck!
