I am doing my 1/2 bath in a map/travel theme. Any suggestions?

Great Idea! How about these:
If you have a small corner, get some vintage suitcases (like the small ones women would carry makeup in) and glue old passports, tickets, pix of travel destinations on them.
pile them up. On top of them, put a big picture of your favorite photo on a travel trip.
You can also put tickets, memorabilia from trips, etc on your countertop or toilet back cover (and seat cover) and polyurethane over them for protection.
on the walls, (and I did this in my bathroom) cover the walls with pix of your favorite trips or destinations!
Other answers:
convert a giant globe into a toilet.
make the sink look like a train station ticket counter.

You should go to a half price/used bookshop and look for an old (or current) atlas, travel guide (like Frommer's guide to ........... (wherever)-those usually have maps (smaller ones) and/or pictures in them. Also, if that seller has old copies of National Geographic/Conde Nast Traveller you will have a lot of access to several pictures of different areas. Frame a grouping of them in simple black or walnut frames. Good luck!

Check eBay. They have antique maps... maps with lots of extra detail like pictures... even laminated and pre-framed maps. The second link below is a Texas flag toothbrush holder! *L* I just love eBay! Happy decorating!
big maps as wallpaper
You could stencil or paint on the walls the names of cities in TX. And since there are thousands, find some tiny ones you may have driven through. To embellish, visit the scrapbooking store and add little embellishments next to the names. (oil derrick - Lubbock; longhorn - Ft Worth; star - Austin; pinata - San Antonio; seashell - Corpus....
Have fun...
If you belong to AAA, you can go there and get all your maps for free.
