Should I get rid of the second door (draft- door)?

At the moment, I have two doors in the lounge, one after the other with a metre gap. The outside door leads into the garden. This area between the doors is enclosed by glass on most sides.
I want to get the outside door double glazed and get rid of the whole glass panel and second door as the space is wasted right now.

Do such draft doors add any value to properties or is it better to have a bigger lounge with all the new added space?
I hope my question is clear. It's hard to explain without a picture.

Answers:
I don't think you would lower the property value if the replacement glass and door is thermoinsulated or double paned. Sounds like a great area to create an atrium which would cut some of the glare and add a visually cooling effect during those hot summer months. I know what you mean about wasted space. We removed a bar/counter between the family and dining areas, built a new wall 2 ft into the living space and my kitchen and breakfast area seems HUGE now! Wish we'd done it years ago but everyone kept telling us it was a waste of time and money and wouldn't make that much of a difference.
