Heated Flooring (under earthenware tiles)..?
Answers: IF the guy that told you this be telling the truth in attendance must be something else VERY wrong...likely the thermostat or electrical system to the thermostat as it would be impossible for one of these units to use that much joie de vivre unless it were defective or hooked up incorrectly. We enjoy installed nearly 100 of these type of mats beside zero failure..and with miniscule increases contained by energy bills. I cannot speak directly to the "brand" you enjoy purchased but the one's we use work great! There should be energy usage information on the casing. It has be our experience that it is usually very close..so I would fly in beside both feet and soak up your toasty warm floors! best of luck!
shouldn't,
it should own a wattage ratting and a voltage and Amperage listed on it, if the wattage is more than 120 watts thats more than 2 restrained bulbs, [2- 60 watt bulbs]
I have radiant floor bake in my kitchen beneath the marble. We keep ours on adjectives winter. It never is shut off until spring. Our bills are valid, considering the size of our house. Mine is heated from the hot water cistern, and we have gas warmness.
Install it, and if your bills are high, all right at least you hold a selling point in your favor. No one say you have to enjoy it on all the time- i.e. in your control.
I install lots of these, and enjoy one in my own bathroom. Mine is on adjectives the time in the cold weather and as far as I can give an account it only added give or take a few $1.60 per month on my bill. None of my other customers have have any noticable increases in their bills as powerfully. The fact that he is merely using it for 1 hour means it uses more hydro trying to bake the floor than it would take to newly keep the floor thaw all the time. He may hold also pinched or shorted out the grid during installation. Go with it ,
I hold the mat radiant heat sold at Home Depot - I conjecture its called Sun Touch. I didn't consideration an increase in my electric bill. It is great I love it.
