Stainless Steal...why the hype?

I was planning on buying stainless steal appliances. I bought a ss scrap can and the thing contantly looks dirty. I enjoy a one year old son who get his finger prints on it and I have to wipe the entry everyday. I don't have that problem beside my white oven. Why are so many general public loving stainless steal? I'm into the environment so I don't want to use harsh cleaners. Do you regard as this trend will end since they are so complex to clean or am I missing an undemanding solution.
Lastly, my friend has like peas in a pod problem with the dishwasher so it is not only the garbage.


Answers:    There is nil wrong with white or black. They are still surrounded by style. A new trend within colors is red and green. But the white, black and stainless are classics. They are now using products to simulate stainless for the simple reason that you mention. You can always use a trim tackle to apply a panel to your trash compactor.

Go with what works for you and your look. You will not devalue your kitchen by using white or black. Don't follow the trends surrounded by big ticket items. They change adjectives the time.
Supposedly maybe utilitarian versus a fancy embellishment. more modern. The trend on how you want to decorate is up to you.
