Anyone have imitation wood floors that lock together? Do you love them and what's the best brand?

I love them. We put them in about 2 years ago. Living room, dining, kitchen and bedrooms.
Carpets are so dirty, no matter what you do.
I bought it at Costo, Harmony is the brand.
It came out to about $1.98 a square foot. Much cheaper than Pergo. Go for what looks good to you.
Wow, you got some ugly answers on that. I'm not poor and did not think Pergo was the best quality. I know Ikea has it also, but did not check it out. I would recommend this Harmony brand and would also check with Home Depot type stores and see what they recommend. They aren't cheap no matter what, but the installation is real important. Mine looks great and was part of a $50,000. remodel within the house.

It depends on how long you want them to endure. With tongue and groove flooring, a bargain can become a nightmare down the road.

Sorry, I hate them, but I hate wood floors too. Pergo is the best brand. They are great because they don't dent easily and they are easy to install.

I do and I do. The best brand is probably Pergo Laminate floors. Get a C3. That's supposed to be for high traffic areas, and supposedly last longer. We've had ours for a few months and they still look new.

The tongue in groove laminated floors are not what they are cracked up to be.
They are cheap but it comes at a price. High humidity areas of the nation experience swelling. If it is in an area where there is water, it is not durable. They lift up and there is more work than you bargained. They cannot take high traffic areas such as hallways.
On the plus side, it does not scratch easily. They look nice at first blush. Laminated will run you around $1.99 sq. foot. They do not need sanding or polishing.
There can be no substitute to a good wooden floor. Good quality oak or pine can run you $8 to $9 per sq.foot. You can stain it to suit your taste. With laminates you can't. They will be patchy. Woods are durable, pliable and gives you long-lasting warm feeling. We toiled with the decision and went with wood.
We used to have wooden floor in our previous house and it was 35 years old. It was good as new when we sold the house. It was the major selling point for us.
Another thing about wooden floor - if you use matching, tastefully decorated area rugs, and good furniture it just lifts up the appearance of the room.
I will recommend wood over laminate. Extra bucks is worth it. Afterall, you don't do flooring every year. Durability is important to me.
