We have a window in our shower, how should I cover it?
Answers:
You can use plexi-glass , however I remodel a lot of bathrooms and the main thing to do is to use an adhesive calk around all the trim of the window and seal it real well. Then spray the area of the tub with grout sealer from a can you buy at the Home Depot. If lightuing is a problem you can install a shade, or a film of tinted window cover.

they make film that diffuses the light. you can't see any objects from either side, but light comes in.

Why don't you just put curtains over the glass? light when you need it and privicy
It would be better to keep the window usable; you could open it to vent steam and moisture.
little blanket then plastit rap
There are some cool pictures made for windows at Home Depot with nature scenes, etc. Perhaps they would work. Shower curtain material would work for curtains.
glass block...still lets light in but you'd lose the window.
Replace the window with glass block and tile right up to it. A very functional and water-tight solution.
A good exhaust fan is then needed.. I reccomend a Panasonic for ultra quiet and functional
Why cover it up? Ask your neighbors, they just might pay you to leave the view alone.
Since you are already tiling around the window, have you given any thought to block glass? You could remove the existing window completely and with the glass blocks, still let the light in and have privacy. The best part is you install them using grout (which you will already be a pro), and as it's commonly used for windows and shower partitions, it is completely waterproof (and if you install it towards the exterior, it leaves a handy little niche for decorative or shower items).
