how wide is a 2-car garage?
Answers:
Generally speaking - for new construction attached garage - I've seen anywhere from 19' (!) wide to about 24' wide x 20' to 24' deep.
For new construction stand-alone garage - 23' wide to 28' wide x 22' to 26' deep.
If it's for a renovation - like adding a garage to an existing house... you want the average width - 22-23' wide - HOWEVER - you must consider your lot lines - in all reality, that is what will determine the width of an add-on garage.
Hope this helps.
