A friend of mine has bought plantation shutters through www.thecaliforniacompany.co.uk and they looked great. I am a bit worried about installing shutters myself although my friends are great. Has anyone else bought shutters from them?

I haven't but what about Ikea? Wouldn't they sell them at a reasonable price if you are unsure about this internet company? Failing that, find a cheap builders merchant who would supply you with some cheap planks (not the guys who work there, really!!), that you could use to make your own shutters. I hope this helps!
