Decorating a bedroom?
Answers:
You may not think so when first reading this...but black and brown go well together. I have a chocolate brown on my walls and most of my furniture is black. It looks really nice. I accented with golds and red rusts. I think it looks great. My first advice is to get the bedspread/comforter/duvet cover first so that you have something to match paint to.

depending on your personality, you could either brighten it up with bright colors or tone it down to a calm feeling with warm colors. Decorating is fun don't be scared to show who you are.

Choose any color you like as a theme, then do another shade of the same color for accents, then use a little touch of black to hold it all together (since the bed is black). Don't go overboard on the black though, or the room will feel dark- only use it for furniture, picture frames, etc. and keep all the bed linens and desk accessories in the theme color.
Dark and light shades of purple, red, or green might be nice- and they're not too girly, so your boyfriend won't be ashamed of the place.
your best bet would be to go to your local book store and look through the decorating magazines for ideas. Without knowing you, someone else can't give you advice on this.
Did you see the movie, Narnia. Think royal, think heraldry. Do a medieval theme to the bedroom. Use colors that are like flags or sheilds. Gold, silver, royal blue, red, emerald green. Gold tassels.
chocolate browns and creams go well together and it won't be tooo girls for your boyfriend. u can prolly use bits of green as an accent colour to make it a calming restful place.
