Can I treat a wood futon frame to use contained by my gazebo outdoors?

It's an indoor futon, but I would like to use it on the gazebo on my deck.


Answers:    I'd put thompsons marine seal on it and step for it!
Strip the wood and apply stain or paint for exterior use. If painting be sure to prime first.
use a polyurtine to trademark the wood if it's going to be there for any amount of time, would not recommend you hang on to it out for the winter months.
