Where can I get an inexpensive but attractive rug for my dorm room?

Not a big rug, at least 5' by 7'

Answers:
Target, WalMart, Home Depot or Lowes all have nice area rugs at reasonable prices. Also, Pier One and Bombay if you want to spend a little more.

Try IKEA if there is one in your area. They have cute stuff at good prices.
Wal-Mart and Target are having great sales on their dorm room accesories... their rugs are so inviting, I have been looking at a few for my sun room....

Good luck!
By any chance did you try Target? They sell very stylish stuff and less expensive than many department stores
definately Target
www.walmart.com
general dollar store, family dollar store, lowes, home depot, walmart, kmart, target, goodwill
you can try your local grocery store, buy online like target.com or you can also go to ikea for some cheap finds.
Try IKEA or Bed Bath and Beyond............
See if you can find any auctions around your area. I don't know about your area but in mine one can pick up some really nice items at low prices. Good for the buyer, bad for the seller and auctioneer.

Not into auctions then try a good will store. Sometimes they have some nice things. My only other thought is Walmart. You may pay 30 40 bucks for a rug at walmarts but you could get something nicer and alot cheeper at an auction.

Just to give you an idea. I was at an auction and their was this tool chest on wheels. It was made of wood and it was very good condition. The seller told me it was worth $800. He knew I wasn't buying so I do believe him. It sold for $100.

I have seen really nice rugs valued anywhere from $80 to $300 these rugs were selling anywhere from $5.00 to $60.00

By the way have fun in school and do well. I wish the best of luck to you. I'm glad to see others going to college.
One place you can go, if you have one around you, is Ikea. I got my dorm rugs there, and they start around $3, they've got bright colors that really light up a room.

Also, Target is a good place to find fun and inexpensive rugs, if you don't have an Ikea around you.
Have you ever thought about hitting some garage sales they often sell some really nice looking stuff.. they just changed what they had in there homes and want new.. other wise you are going to have to go to a target or something to find what you are looking for.. there are alot of cheap stores to get them at even places on line.. you have gotten some really good answers on her for this so start shopping around you will find what you like ..
