what do I do?????????

I'm sure your mom just doesn't want you to make any major changes - that can be expensive! The first thing you need to do is move whatever is in front of the window. Having no sunlight can be depressing!
Purple walls are cool - do you have any pictures on the wall? If not, just adding a few cool pictures would do a lot for a room. One cheap way to do this is you can go and buy a calendar with some really great pictures that would look good with your purple walls. Pick out a few of your favorites, put them in frames (you can find inexpensive ones a places like Target or Walgreens), and hang them on your walls. You might have to trim down the pictures a little to fit them in frames, but the end result can look really good! Good luck =)

Yo darlin--listen up--give this a whirl--I would just imagine that there has been just a little more than a little discussion in your house about this in the last little bit (???) Okay--the two of you have probably drawn some fairly distinct battle lines over the subject and because of that, neither one of you are gonna budge for the other-- So--let this thing settle for a couple of days--just let it quieten down for a moment--Then in a couple of days--just kinda slip into a conversation about how you're getting a little older now and that your tastes in things have changed and that you know how she (Mom) has worked really hard to make things nice for you--but that you're at the age now that you need more input in the things around you--and after all it won't be that long until you'll be old enough and will be GOING OUT ON YOUR OWN--(that is your trump card here----Moms just go sappy sideways when their daughters grow up and leave home and if she sees that she has this one chance only for only a short while to nurture you in the at-home thing she is going to be forced to rethink her working with you to create the best at home thing she can for you while she has you)--Now--the hard sell--tell her that if you could get her to ease up on the room thing you would gladly work something out with her in helping her out in some way---Moms love deals---make it worth her while--go slow--mean it when and if you make a deal with her and my money is on this thing being settled in no time at all
you can get some nice pictures and hang them on the wall you could also get some nice night lamp.
