Which color go beside wood?
Answers: It depends on the leading color of your room. I think that a room near wood furnitures in it should move about with threatening red, but that's MY opinion.
Dark blue also match. Or, if your shelf is sort of blue-ish, I think blue should dance with it. If you choose blue, I'd pick oil lamp blue. I have a picture of a room beside wood furniture but blue fabric and wallpapers contained by my favorite architecture book and it looks awesome.
For bedrooms, green really doesn't match next to wood. It matches next to colorful things - if you put it that way, but I guess that woody-green would be perfect for a kitchen, even though I don't surmise you would have a closet within the kitchen.

But is your closet well lit? That might support determine the color. What is your floor color?
Dark Blues, or Dark and Light Browns, Mixed Greens but bright and lumo colours dont mix good beside wood.
Your personal taste have to rule but go online to different sites for e.g. paint brands. They give access to programs where on earth you can put your colours in and see the results instantly. Of course they are using colour scheme for a room. If your preference runs to dark, more dramatic colours... you could brighten the area by using some mirror surrounded by the background or on the shelves themselves (most of it would be covered when you stock your closet but glint would show). There are some very natty, low voltage LED light available which you could install.... resembling minature pot-lights. They are very "today" accent.
It will depend on the tones of the wood, however you decide to stain it. For instance - the reheat reddish tones of mahogany or cherry might work better next to a red that would pick up those undertones, or a pleasing contrast close to a sage green. Then again, the cooler lighter tones of pine or oak might work better with blue. If you travel that route - steer clear of the dark blue near dark wood - it wouldn't furnish you sufficient contrast, and the two dark colors would probably quarrel against each other.
The lighting will spawn a difference as well.
I would suggest you budge ahead and install your shelving system, stain it however you wish, and THEN bring contained by color samples to prefer what is the most pleasing. Just remember to go for a nice contrast to showcase adjectives your hard work, and be sure the undertone of the stained wood and the paint complement each other. When contained by doubt - go to a professional paint center (like Sherwin Williams or Benjamin Moore or Glidden) to some extent than a Home Depot or Lowe's. Take a sample of your wood and any fabric or other pieces in the room that will be artificial by the wall color, and ask for a color expert's advice. Just remember to trial what they suggest in the lighting it will if truth be told be used in....the method the colors interact together WILL vary from store to daylight to home.....but at lowest possible the color expert can point you in the right direction.

depends on the staining, Because staining changes what species of wood the wood can look resembling to the untrained eye, red staining looks like cherry, golden color, more approaching oak or pine, and a brown looks like a maple.
If you close to Red, go near a Cherry stain, and use red tones, Red is a sensual color, it also makes you consistency hungry. Other colors (Orange, Peanut butter, Mediterranean colors, and dusty browns, dusty roses). Again red, is a sensual color, that promotes elegance, and excitement.
If you stir with a Blue, stick near lighter colored shelves, because the contrast would look great, blue clashes with red, a red stain would not be a accurate idea. an the deep blue, goes next to a natural stain, or a restrained brown stain, although this may give a coast like sensation, but the area will most awkwardly feel more spacious than a red. Airy and breathable. Blue promotes exuberance, and tranquility, (other colors, other shades of blue, greens, stick with shaded colors, bright colors, will spawn it look more like a children's clothing store)
I hold yet to find a color that does not clash with wood. Wood is inbred, so any color will match it. So... guess you go and get to choose the color that pleases you the most!
