Or go to the Bureau of Labor Statistics web site www.bls.gov and click on geography. Look at the unemployment statistics for individual states. The states where the economy is good are more likely to have more jobs for interior designers because those people have more money to spend.

California seems like the most popular one. Lots of people with space and money to pay their interior designers to glue chicken feathers to the wall or newspaper.
