There are really flat rugs/mats that are big enough to cover the whole floor without getting in the way of a door. EVen some cheap office burber carpet would work good.
Try walmart and target and also Bed, Bath and Beyond. They have tonz of stuff.
Bright pink will blind you when you turn on the light or are in there during the day. It will suck the energy out of you. If it has to be bright pink, do the bottom coat in that color and then sponge or rag or roll or brush a lighter pink overy the top of it.
If you black and pink, get a black futon, or a black framed twin bed or full size bed.
Light green/bright green would be a good color to put with pink. So is light purple, yellow, light blue, white, etc.
Go to Better Homes and Garden's and look up Color-A-Room. You can sign up for free and then pick all the colors you'd want in your room and compare to see what looks best to you. They have several different rooms to choose from. I love using this.
Then on RC Willey.com you can design your floorplan and look and everthing and see from above and arrange your furniture around to see where you'd like it the best in the room.
If you do like bright pink, find color tones to soften it and cool it down a bit. Blues would work good for this, and silver/grays, etc.

OMG! i am the best room decorator! Well look since u rook is gonna be hot pink ,then we have the same style. I have a tropical/colorful look to my room. My sheets are black and white, but it is decorated with hot pink, lime green, orange and baby blue pillows! You can find cheap carpets at Target they wont cover your entire floor but most of it! On your walls u can put cute picture frames TOTAL GLAMOUR! There is cute frames with heels and purses and stuff! and put a beaded dont put too much furniture in your room. The less furniture the more spacious your room will look!*
Target has a cool polka dot design with orange and pink in it. It is very modern and good for teens. They have lamps to match. I would put a large rug down instead of some sort of carpet. Have a great time shopping. Do not sleep on a futon. That is medically the worst thing anyone can sleep on. It can and will cause back and shoulder problems. Target also has this cool couch that both side arms fold down and can be used as a bed. I think it is around $150. My teenage son loves it.
