How much should I expect to pay a plasterer?

I've just put up a stud wall, and plaster-boarded it. It's about 2 mtrs long, and I need both sides doing, and there's an external corner on one side - which means there's an internal corner on the other! There's one socket to plaster around, but that's it. Any advice on the cost to expect would be really helpful, thanks in advance!

Answers:
Depending on where you are in the country and how expert/busy the plasterer is I'd say a range of £12 - £20 per hour. Hope this helps.

Of course it depends on where you are but are you talking about true plaster or are you thinking of sheetrock? Sheetrock should cost you about $1.00 per square foot to install and another $1.00 per sq. ft to finish, then you will need to prime the wall with a PVC primer and then apply texture according to what you already have in the room or according to what you want. Now if you are talking about a true plastered wall I am not sure exactly because that method is not used at all in this part of the country and as far as I know it is not used much in the rest of the country so finding someone may be difficult, I would expect to pay at least twice that of a sheetrocked wall and probably even more so $4-8 per sq.ft. depending on the finish. The finish has a lot to do with it as well but get at least 3 estimates and check licenses if they are needed in your area and be sure they are bonded and insured. Be picky,it is your investment and your home so you need to make sure that you are getting the best for your money. Remember you will have to look at this forever, you want it to look nice.
The next time you put up a stud wall, use TAPER edge plaster board, then simply put a skrim tape (like medical open gauze tape) down the joint with PVA adhesive (stops it cracking), next fill the hollow formed by the tapers with polyfiller, sand off with a flat sander. The edges of this taper edge plasterboard are thinned down on the long edges, hence the hollow bit to do the joint.
established ones are fair
really depend where you are! but i wouldnt charge you any more than say a 100 notes to do this work if its merely filling and taping of course if its full skim coat probably about £10/m2 approx but depends on tradesman! be careful there area lot of **** plasterers out there!
