How difficult is it to install a pocket door?

There is no framing and drywall where I want the pocket door located. Is that tough to do myself or do I need to call a professional?

If you have a rough opening already the job is fairly simple. Hardware comes with the pocket door frame and it installs simply to the door. With a level and a drill you should be to get the job done in no time.

I'd say call the professionals if there was already a door opening there before. nah.. not that hard to do but, it's not a one hour project either. actually I'd say hanging a regular door correctly is harder than a pocket door which is on a rail just keep it level. good luck, graypanger
