What is the diffence between a regular oven and convection oven?
thank you
Answers:
A conventional oven heats the food by surrounding it with hot air. A convection oven uses a fan (as everyone else has said) to circulate the hot air. It blows the hot air across the food and moves the cold "aura" around the food away to allow the heat to penetrate the food quicker.

They're more or less the same but a convection oven includes a fan in it. This makes the hot air circulate around the oven so it's just as hot at the top as it is at the bottom. It also speeds up cooking times a little.

Since convection ovens use a fan, they circulate the air faster, so the cooking times may be less than a conventional oven.
Conventional ovens just heat from the top, but a convection oven heats and circulates the heat for a more even cooking. I would go with a convection oven, even though they cost more, they are better.
CONVECTION OVEN HAS A FAN WHICH RUNS THROUGHOUT THE BAKING OR ROASTING TIME....IT USUALLY COOKS MORE EVENLY AND IN LESS TIME.
I can barely work a toaster.
Convection has a fan in it
the fan ? i think thats wot it is the fanned forced = convection
a normal oven aint got the fan forced in it to get that heat around better. also the cooking temps vary it normally says in a recipe or on a packet wot temp for it. in both fanforced and regular
OVEN: chamber or enclosed compartment for heating, baking, or roasting food, as in a stove, or for firing, baking, hardening, or drying objects, as in a kiln.
convection oven: An oven having a fan that shortens cooking time by circulating hot air uniformly around the food.
convection oven has a fan in it and cook faster
1) Convection heat IS NOT hotter than standard,,, 350 degrees is 350 degrees, whether there's a fan involved or not
2.) All a convection oven does is blow the heat around, making the heat more even and forcing it into the product you are cooking,,, in turn,,, faster cooking.
When converting from convection to standard ovens,,, try adding about 10-15 minutes cook time. Raising the oven temp can cause uneven cooking and burning on the outside before the center reaches the proper temp.
a fan in the back circulates air and makes the temperature more consistent throughout the oven so you can use all the racks at the same time etc.
