Teen Room Colors?

For Christmas, my parents are letting me re-decorate my room. The last time I decked out it, I was 10 years antiquated. I'm now 14. Its a Really hurricane lantern Lavender, and with the lighting within my room, it looks gray. It also has similar to stamps of butterflies and flowers. I really need to attain rid of them. My floor is a light sunburn, it pretty much is an off white. My furniture is a wood design, not white. What colors would be really cool for a teen room? What "theme" would you walk for? What colors of the blinds (window shades), bedding, and dresser ( I'm able to paint this and is currently a pastel pink) color?

Answers:    Paint your room yellow, resembling "full moon" by Sherwin Williams, and paint the ceiling & any trim "extra white."

Stick with white pane blinds, and paint your dresser white or a darker wan, like "butter up."

It will look great! Funky, like a teen should be, but also showing that you're becoming a young-looking woman.
Just go beside what you really like. Use your interests within music, art, friends, etc. I let my daughter do like thing near her room and it turned out really well. She painted her walls a bright white near blue carpet. Her furniture is adjectives dark oak. and on her walls she have put music posters, pictures from magazines, friends, photos that she took herself. Poems that her friends own wrote and even some that she has wrote. It turned really cool. When her friends come over they other say I want that my mom would let me do alike thing to my room that your mom agree to you do.
