How do you remove the oily residue left after removing blue sticky tack from a white wall?

I had a lot of posters up on the wall, I've gotten all of the blue stuff off the wall, but it left what looks like grease spots all over the wall.

Answers:
the only thing i would suggest is getting "killz" brand primer, painting that over the spots, and then repainting the area. i have had sticky tack before and had the same problem, i just used it as an excuse to paint the room a different color!

Other answers:
Use a sanding sponge and then paint the wall.

you can try using lighter fluid and slowly dabbing away at the residue. you can use the same method for getting rid of the sticky stuff left behind after you remove price tags from things.
Paint thinner / Nail polish remover
Mr Clean Eraser...It's awesome.
You may have to paint over the oily spots with Kilz, which is an oil-covering primer, if the other methods mentioned by readers don't work. Otherwise, the oil will shine through the paint.
