Answers:
cut a 1/2 ft section of the boarder off...go to copyworks or kinkos or something and get a color copy...coat the copy with a polyurethane coat from the gardware store...glue boarder to empty spot...place basket over gap...

Maybe you should try to steam off a section that has the full pattern on it and then either stencil or draw the pattern on a plain boarder to fill it in or take it to a copy shop type place and see if they can copy it onto a plain piece of boarder for you. I really hope this is helpful.

A good painter can freehand paint it on to match. You'll be suprised how accurately you can make it.
Since its partially obscured by the cabinet, just having the right background color and size will camoflage it quite well.
Have you tried looking for it here (just for discontinued wallpaper)?

Here's a forum where folks can post messages about discontinued wallpaper - you can ask if anyone has a spare roll/piece left over:

...or try to find it on EBay / Craig's List...
Since you already use this space to display baskets, etc., if you get paint to match the background color in the border, then when you sit baskets up there it won't be noticeable to anyone but you. However, if you're still concerned with it, go to one of the shops (Michaels or similar) that sell artificial plants and buy one of those tropical ferns and put it in this area. If you add greenery among some of the baskets, it will look like that's what you planned all along!
Iam not a creative but i think i can give you agood idea, just remove piece of your board and make a copy of them in color it will be exatly look same but choose agood paper for that .
Why don't you get tracing paper, sketch the border and get an exacto knife to cut out hte palm trees, then paint so it'll match the rest of the border.
On second hand, you can get a few coconut decorations and put it on the mantle so it has some "filler" but still coordinates with the border.
Or...you can get some cheap bamboo paper and use it as a background for the 2 feet to keep it tropical, then put a miniature palm tree or sea shell decor on the mantle as well. Good luck!!
find one that is similar to use on the wall.
and put your objects in front of it. it will be less noticeable
if u can draw it thatll help
