Making a House out of CLAY, good idea or bad idea?
Answers:
By "Clay" - you mean cob? (google cob builing for lots of good info. Cob is clay, sand and straw, mixed together and used like wet adobe. Strong, cool in summer, warm in winter, dirt cheap, and it won't burn down)
Good or bad itdea depends on the site. It needs good "shoes" and "hat" (Foundation and roof - one with more overhang), and definitely shouldnot be used in flood-prone areas.
