ow do i put lining paper on plastered walls ?

we have ruff plastered walls, how do i put lining paper on them so they can be painted ?

Answers:
Hang the paper horizontally, not vertically. When dry, rub the seams gently with a fine grade sandpaper to try to smooth away the joins.

Other answers:
If you want your walls smooth the only way to do it is with sandpaper and elbow grease. Good Luck!

don't put paper put plywood or paneling it's easier to paint
When my contracting company is faced with rough walls we add more plaster to smooth it out. Plaster and drywall compound are both cheaper than paper and easier for ametures to put on. Just keep adding drywall compound util the wall is as smooth as you like.

Drywall compound can also be tinted. This is called Venetian Plaster and has the color built in so it doesnt need to be painted. Have fun!
