What makes a small bathroom look bigger - small floor tiles or big ones?
Answers:
larger floor tiles will give the illusion of a large surface.
Also, use light colors on the walls and large mirrors to help enhance the size of the room. Don't go overboard with curtains, keep it simple as not to create a cluttered or heavy look.

Big.
Big.
Big ones
i think big ones.. also try big mirrors..
It is not the size so much as the color that will give the appearance of a larger room. Lighter colors tend to make the eye perceive the room as being larger, while darker colors will make it look smaller.
I would definitely have to say big tiles.
Proportion-wise, the small ones look better. Tiles will not make a small bath room look bigger. Only size will.
big tiles sset off an bigger image of the bathroom
besiade tile , mirror will help
Actually darker colors make a room look bigger. Read about it in this month's Cosmo magazine. It explains how the eyes perceive the room to be bigger. As for the tiles I think small ones would make it look bigger since there would be more tiles to make it look like it was over a larger surface area.
Big tiles.
If you choose the right combination of tile and very closely matching grout - size doesn't matter - but don't choose huge ones like 18x18.
I prefer smaller tiles - although not tiny - lets say 6x6 or 8x8.
I would not use large tiles in a small space. It will not look proportionate to the space. The standard 12 x 12 is what I would use. You can do other applications to the space to make it look larger. Use light colors on the walls will help. If you are replacing the vanity you should use a smaller scale vanity like a pedestal vanity. Use smaller items like the mirror, the lighting fixture, etc
