yea ur wife is right.. wat is a contrating color on crown mldg
The ceiling will look much better if it is at least 2 shades lighter than the walls. All the moldings in the room should be a very light color. See if this is a good compromise. Good Luck.
Painting the wall the same color as the wall with a different shade for the moldings is uncool. Paint the ceiling one of the bazillion shades of white that exist, and paint the wall/molding whatever color suits you both best.
I'm assuming she disagrees with paining the celing. That's really not a swift idea. Don't agree with her just because, there has to be a good reason for it. In this case I'd say yes.
What does she want you to do?
Your best bet is to allow your wife to have the final word on the decorating. Being diplomatic and courteous is the first concern. If you work a lot like me, then it should not matter what she chooses.
I WOULD HAVE TO AGREE WITH YOUR WIFE. WHY NOT PAINT THE CEILINGS WHITE>>> AND THE WALLS THE COLOR THAT YOU WANT, AND THE CROWN MOLDING WHITE?
IT MAKES A ROOM LOOK SMALLER WHEN THE CEILINGS AND WALLS ARE THE SAME COLOR
Hmmm...well, maybe you both should find a technique you BOTH agree on BECAUSE, if she is at home more than you, it is quite possible that she will grow to despise it, and it could cause more friction than it is worth, not to mention the cost and effort of eventually re-doing it all another way. There is a saying, "Choose your battles." Just an opinion (from a woman, lol...)'hope it helps!
