What is a good decoration for the top of an armoire?

My armoire has an arch at the top, and I am finding it hard to decorate the top of it. Everything gets lost behind the arch!

I'd be tempted to drape something like a beautiful tapestried buffet or piano scarf on the top and let hang from the sides, sit an urn or interestingly woven basket fillled with lifelike grape ivy at an angle to one side of the pediment and let it cascade across the top and sides and maybe add a large fringed tassel to the door handle. You can even add a few silk flowers taken from the colors in the room. Much of anything else is going to get lost in the design of the armoire.
