Decoupage examine?

I am decopauging my computer desk and want to know a good FINISH I can use to trademark it. I want to seal it near something that I can wash beside soap and water and not ruin the stuff I glue on to the desk.
Any ideas????


Answers:    If I be doing it, I'd use water base polyurethane. About three coats with a reading light sanding beside 320 grit paper between coats.
i would put a chalice top on a desk....
