Should silestone seams be very noticable?
Answers:
Great choice of colour. "Coffee Brown" is absolutely beautiful.
As far as seems go, we completed a kitchen not too long ago, it had "Coffee Brown" countertops, and many seams - they were slightly noticeable, as all dark quartz will be (actually, we do a lot of dark Silestone, but none of the counters had anything more than slightly noticeable seams).
But this "dull area" that you have is very strange. I've never seen such a thing. Perhaps some of the joint compound got on to the Silestone and is producing that haze. Did you have a certified installer/fabricator make it? If so, Silestone has a warranty - perhaps you could try take it up with them.
Again, you should be able to make out a slight line of the joint, but there should be no difference in sheen on the Silestone itself.
Hope this helps.

Doesn't sound right - I would contact Lowes or Home Depot to check for an answer - they sell both and should know.

not all silestone is the same. maybe it's just the natural textures of it
