What shall I do after remove paint from wooden door?

I need to redecorate a wooden door. After removing ancient paint, shall I scrub with sand tabloid? Shall we apply water base paint or oil base? Please advise the adv and disadv of applying 2 diff type of paint. Thank you.


Answers:    use sand dissertation.Oilpaint is easier to clean and is preetier and does no catsh dirt easier marine is the exact opposite.Though cheaper.
first sand the door smooth than you should apply a apt primer to seal the wood and comfort the paint stick. as for oil or marine based paint if its an outside door use the grease paint its more durable to the weather if its a inside door you can use water base paint and if your worried about keeping it verbs use a gloss paint and it will verbs up just fine.
