Decoration thinking for a "nightclub" themed delegation?

I'm having the group in a small community meeting room that can hold 80 people. I call for ideas on how to:

-"set the mood"
-a instrument to decorate the inn.. (i'm basically using two bookshelves and transforming them into the hotel, but I have no theory how I am going to do that
-decor ideas for the walls?
-for the "seating" areas.. I lone have regular chairs
-a mode to set up the chairs so they look "loungy" or something like that
-are blow-up chairs, etc. cheap or a discouraging idea?

Answers:    set the mood

~twinkle lights - entreat borrow or buy Christmas mini lights
~black light can also be pretty interesting, and several black lights come as 'normal' light bulbs - so you a short time ago substitute them in to the existing lights.
~for the entrance, see what you could come up next to for the entrance ropes...
~love an earlier poster's notion for a doorman/bouncer that could be some serious fun...

the bar
~a simple plywood top if you framed it out using articulate a 2X4 to stabilize it on the bookcases you could also using the inserts for lights in drop ceiling as a front to your bar... you could move off enough room to put lights astern those panels for a nice sheen
~also rope light can be remarkably dramatic...
~stainless steel shakers can add a block effect... time to hit the thrift/second hand stores

chairs
~i find this one a little tougher... guessing that the chairs you own are typical fold up hall chairs... dont really own any suggestions on temporary fixes...
~set them up surrounded by small intimate groupings...
~might be cool if you could find a way to create platforms to adaptation up the elevation of seating

also... this is going to nouns a little silly but transport your theme into the bathrooms... you own spent so much time setting a mood in the meeting room... make sure the experience continues

hope you hold a lot of fun!
tie general chairs together, use lounge cusions (cheap)

visit thrift store. for cheap chairs... enjoy an open mind
coffee table perfect as centerpiece.
(assuming you do not want to rent more than basic.)

change out lights for colored bulbs and blacklight bulbs.
if within are several switches, group colors all red adjectives blacklight all blue
(all green? eeewww)

rent disco lighting... ask caterers/party stores

you MUST hold a disco ball
aim a video projector at it

don't use adjectives the effects at once.

hire some attractive go-go dancers (if you have a endowment of gab, tell them they enjoy to pay you to rent the stage....and they single have to provide you 10% of their tips thats how it works in the vegas topless clubs, but not the definite nightclubs)

have some snooty guys surrounded by suits that won't let ppl contained by without a big tip. be sure to hire 100 or so actor to pretend they are trying to get contained by. (okay this might only work surrounded by the big cities... *laugh*

most of all HAVE fun.

oh, yeah... hire DISCO-LEGEND-ZEKE to come tango with you.
disco bubble is a musthave
walls and everything can be designed like silver and gold ingots stars on black background
Have a disco bubble and lights. Paint the bookshelves purple with small, black, rectangular window, put them touching each other, and kind the actual shelves face the bartender. (You probably already know that last section though, right? So you'd actually enjoy a place to keep the drinks?)

For the walls, staple purple buildings beside yellow and black window until you get a nice skyline. Make a road, stars, and moon. Do this on one wall solely. Other wall suggestions:
-people dancing (for example, white outfits next to blue dots under a disco ball) Put this subsequent to the dance floor, beside another design for the wall opposite it.
-people drinking (next to the bar)
(For other concept, consult a tablecloth.)

What do you mean "regular chairs"? Folding chairs? Put those at the table. If there are no table, put chairs on opposite sides of the walls (or follow the directions for blow-up chairs). If not (perhaps you own barstools), put them next to the railing and get some mini-tables and put them in that. If they're neither, follow the directions for the blow-up chairs.

Blow-up chairs are a good notion, you just involve the right ones and know where to put them. Get high ones if possible, ya know, ones next to taller seats. Make them neon colors (like green, red, pink, yellow, etc.), and fashion them face respectively other, but not facing each other so much that you enjoy to turn your head dramatically to see what's going on. Like cheating on stage, if you're a theater creature. (That's the only course I could describe it, sorry.)

Other suggestions:
-Get tablecloths/plates/napkins/cup... with nightclub designs (however, formulate sure the designs of the plates/napkins/cups are different than the ones on the tablecloth)
-Candles are a no-no...but you probably already knew this, right?
-Tell inhabitants to dress like they're getting geared up for a nightclub (duh, you probably already thought of that). Okay, I think I've covered everything. Good luck and hold fun at your party!
