What paint shall I use to paint an external plastic waste pipe?
The other idea is to strip it but I don't know what product to use?

use a wire brush or sand paper to remove most of the flaking old paint then apply any house hold cheap undercoat twice.....with 2 coats of undercoat you can use almost any kind of paint but i would use a cheap gloss on-top of the undercoat

hammerite is still the best for this type of thing outside. try using a red oxide primer(after striping first) and then hammerite. it will last for years.

If you strip the paint off with a wire brush it'll scratch up the pipe. You could paint it with outdoor primer, undercoat and gloss but it'll need re-doing in a few years.
It won't be any less hassle or any more expensive to just replace it!

You're going to have to climb up there 2 or 3 times to paint, or once to replace.
I painted mine with ordinary exterior gloss three years ago and it's still ok- try just brushing off the flaky bits with a wire brush (a hoo ha, I know,) and then glossing over it.
Talk to your diy man at the store, i would say you gonna need a ext paint for plastic? i got some plastic to paint outside to, had wondered myself? becarefull of some of your answers, i think some think its a metal?
You'll have to use a wire brush and coarse sandpaper to finish removing the old paint. I'd then use one of the rustoleum paints since it's for outdoor use and is exposed to the elements. Be sure to use a good primer first.
Sand pipe then 2 coats of ext arcrylic paint in desired sheen level.
