If you use fabric, adhere it will spray adhesive so that you will have a bubble and wrinkle free project. You could also decoupage the surface, but on heart shaped boxes, I like to do the inside with decoupaged images because it is so hard to get fabric in there neatly. I also like to use broken pieces of jewelry, hearts in buttons, lace from PJ's, silk flowers or ribbon roses, images from cards I've received, doilies, lengths of ribbon, pieces of wrapping paper, even the net bags that onions, potatos and produce comes in. Really walk around your house and you will probably find 10 things that would embellish your box beautifully.

Use the paint color of your choice. Then paint on plain white glue. Wait for it to dry and put a picture on it of your boyfriend and paint both side of the picture with the white glue and let dry.

Trace top of lid onto some cardboard. Cover cardboard with
Aleene's Tacky Glue and add some fiberfill. Let dry the cover with some pretty fabric that will look good your room. Glue fabric to underside of cardboard ant let dry. Cut away any excess fabric. Glue this to the top of your heart box. You could also
find some favorite photos and have color copies made and decoupage the photos to the box. Add some fringe .
