I want to do a room make over and I like the idea of having chocolate and torquoise together..?

But i need a soft tone background color, and also, i dont know if those 2 colors compliment each other...

Answers:
a lighter shade of neutral brown or cool blue. you could even go w/ a creamy shade of light gray. head on down to your local home depot or hardware store to compare the color swatches against eachother before you paint. the color of turquoise will be tricky. but you can always repaint if you don't get it right the 1st time.
these colors go very well together. especially if you are doing clean lines and surfaces for a contemporary look.
have fun!

I think that those two colors are very complimentary of each other and I would use a
very soft shade of the chocolate for a background color. Good luck!

Not sure what design theme you're after, but retro seems to have taken everyone by storm and believe it or not, I still have some decorating scraps from the 70's when that color combination was huge! Of course, I look at all those geometric designs now and shudder, but it was "hip" at the time!!

There are alot of options. You don't say if you have any of the furniture or if these two choices are accent colors. My suggestions is to find a beautiful area rug or peice of art, even a woven wall hanging featuring those as the dominant colors and choose the rest of your color palette from there. You will usually see corals or gold tones, even lavendars in combination with them. Take a trip to the fabric store and look at bolts of decorator fabrics with those colors. Don't be afraid of color! Your home is not a showplace, it's where you live and should reflect your personality and tastes. Every trend you see in home design starts with someone's "crazy" color combinations and ideas. Once you get out and look specifically for things in that particular combination, you'll see it everywhere. Those colors have been used for years in oriental themes, southwest design, etc. It's all in the other colors you use with them.
Almost any color combination can look good or bad depnding on how its done. I would agree that tourquise and chocolate owuld be beautiful together. It depnds if you're going for natural textures or a more synthetic feel. If going for natural, look browns that are found in nature through wood textures and add the touquoise through material blends and stones if possible. Tourquoise glass adds a lot of texture and depth to a room as well. I'm sure your end result will be gorgeouos!!
